Four people were injured after a small plane struck a tree and crashed near McLaughlin Road and King Street in Caledon, Ontario.

According to local authorities, at about 5:20 p.m., the four-seater Cessna was attempting to land at the Brampton Flight Centre when the plane struck a tree and crashed on McLaughlin Rd. in Caledon.

One person was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, while the three others were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Transport Canada is investigating.
